| Corpse of JeM militant recovered from Drubgam encounter site | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Dec 30 Police today claimed to have recovered one more corpse of a Pakistani militant belonging to JeM outfit from the encounter site at Ladakhi Mohalla Drubgam in Pulwama district . Police sources said that the cops recovered an identity card from the slain militant identifying him as Abu Shakir of Pakistan, a listed militant of JeM outfit. It is pertinent to mention here that a cordon and search operation was carried out by the Police Pulwama and troops of 44 RR at village Ladkigam Drubgam, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajpora, the other day, during which militants of Jaish-e-Mohammed outfit, hiding in the house of one Mohammed Abdullah Ganai @ Abu Chowkidar, s/o Ismail opened fire on Police. The house was cordoned off and exchange of fire took place between Police and militants during which a JeM Commander Abdul Gani Dar @ Jangvi, S/O Habibullah Dar, R/O Frisipora Pulwama, an "A" category militant was gunned down by the Police. Two AK Rifles along with some ammunition has also been recovered from the site of encounter. The cordon around the village has been lifted and the dead bodies of both the killed militants have been handed over to the locals of villager Frisipora. |
