| CB books two ladies for selling intoxicated drugs | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 31 Crime Branch today booked three persons including two ladies for selling intoxicated drug capsules among the youths of the Jammu and other areas. According to reports, Crime Branch received information through its reliable sources that in Bishnah area some persons are illegally selling intoxicated drugs to the youths, school students of that area in an organized manners. The material is being brought by these persons from Pathankot and is distributed the same in Jammu city and its rural areas on 2-3 times extra cost, causing economical loss and damage to the health of youths and also earning huge amount of money through illegal means. Sources said after receiving the information case FIR No 40/2004 was registered for detailed investigation in police station Crime Branch Jammu. During the course of investigation, Crime Branch raided at different places in Bishnah and its adjacent areas and seized 120 capsules of pyrevanspas an three bottles of correx from two ladies namely Kesho Devi wife of Late Krishan Lal, Veena Devi wife of Late Hamesh Lal, both residents of Bishnah. In addition, 40m capsules of pyrevanspas and two bottles of correx were also recovered from one Ajay Kumar son of Bihari Lal resident of Bishnah, who were selling the said drug to the youths of the area at that time. Sources said they were selling these drugs without any legal valid license. All the accused persons were arrested, intoxicated drugs and capsules was seized. The statement of the witness available on spot was recorded. The accused persons were arrested and later on released on bail. Necessary sanction was obtained to launch prosecution against the accused involved in the crime. The case was produced before the court of law for judicial determination. |
