| Locals flay transfer of GM NHPC | | | Early Times Reporter

The transfer of General Manager National Hydro-Electric Project Construction Corporation (NHPC) has sparked resentment among the local in Kishtwar who have described it ‘a wrong step’.
In a press statement locals stated that GM NHPC Jatiinder Singh, is the only officer in the corporation from the state of Jammu and Kashmir and a hardworking person. They added that it was the dedication and leadership from the said person that left the work completed within schedule time period and the generation started three months ahead of the time. The transfer of such an officer at this critical point of time is likely to have its deprecations on the upcoming power projects", a prominent citizen of Kishtwar Tanveer Mintoo said. The residents also have urged the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Nabi Azad to intervene in the matter. |
