Jammu | Jan 1
Gharu Ram is known for his rustic humour and one liners in the power circles. On Monday people got to know another facet of his personality i.e he is fond of wearing Pagadi’s. Minutes before Gharu Ram was to take oath of office of secrecy in the lawns of the Raj Bhawan one of his supporters created flutter in the front row where several other dignitaries were seated as he brought saffron ‘Pagadi’ for him to wear before taking the oath of office. This happened because till last minute no one was aware who was taking oath.Initailly Gharu Ram was sitting in the second row and shifted to the front row just in time. His supporters waiting outside must have read the hint and immediately brought the Pagadi so that he take waer it in time.
It is learnt back room power games were on through out the day till final list was okayed by Chief Minister after consultations with party high command.Gharu Ram finally took oath wearing a bright coloured Pagadi and sought blessings of the chief Minister after the oath ceremony.
Vakil tum Kahan ho
Soon after the oath taking ceremony when official cameraperson of the Information department and other lensmen asked all the fresh faces and chief minister to pose for a picture perfect pose in teh lawns of the Raj Bhawan, everybody arrived on the scene and were seated by the lensmen when someone realized one man was missing from the scene. He was AbdulGani Vakil.Soon after the search started for the missing minister.Huge rush of prominent figures and who’s who of state politics made it difficult for the concernd authority to locate AbdulGani Vakil. After waiting for some time Mr Vakil appeared on the scene and was greeted with pointed remarks by the chief Minister and his deputy MuzaffarHussainBaig about his disappearance. And they all said cheese posing in front of hungry shutterbugs.
I AM ILL: AZAD
‘Except my health every thing else is fine’. This is how Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad reacted to media queries when he was asked about his well being by reporters. For last couple of days Azad is down with viral fever and is advised complete rest by his doctors.
At one point when few supporters and congress workers were jostling for space to catch his ears Azad asked them to keep some distance.”Aap ko viral ho jayega, mujh se door rahen. Sycophants left no opportunity to please their master and replied back, “aap ka viral humey ho jaye aur app tandrust ho jayen”. Even Governor SK Sinha was seen asking him about his well being. Azad was heard telling Governor that he will be fine within two three days.
