| Government should perform its obligatory duty: Aijaz Jan | | | Early Times Reporter

In a statement issued here today, Ajaz Ahmed Jan, Provincial Secretary J&K Youth National Conference and contested candidate have expressed serious concern over the callous attitude adopted by the present coalition government towards the people of Poonch in providing basic amenities to the people especially electricity and drinking water.
Mr. Jan alleged that some villages of Poonch are without electricity for the last more than ten days and due to which even drinking water is not being supplied to the areas, thereby causing difficulties to the people.
"Several requests were made to the concerned authorities to provide electricity to the area which have been snapped, but all in vain. There is no body to listen to problems of the common people. The present coalition government has diverted its stand from performing their basic obligatory duties.", he said.
The NC leader has urged the Chief Minister to intervene in the matter at the earliest and make suitable arrangement for restoration of electricity in the area failing which he threatened to launch an agitation. |
