City Cricket Club today trounced Dhoom Pool Cricket Club (DPCC) by one wicket to advance into the next round of the T-20 cricket tournament organized by the Luxmi Cricket Club at Parade ground, here.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, DPCC bowled out for 126 runs in 18 overs, which, in reply, City Club chased in 19.1 overs for the loss of nine wickets.
Shravan was top scorer with 32-ball 40 runs while Rajesh Parihar and Abhishekh contributed 18 and 14 runs respectively. From City Club Sayed Asif and Raj Kumar took three wickets each while Raghav, Kanav and Rishav share a piece each.
Batting second, City Club reached the required total in 19.5 overs losing nine wickets. Syed Asif made highest 30 runs, followed by Shakil Mahajan and Varun Verma, who contributed 22 and 20 runs respectively. Munish and Sachin were most successful bowlers with three wickets each. Sanjay, Shravan and Ashish took one each.
