| Cong, PDP coordination perfect: Azad | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 1 Sending a clear warning to the non performing ministers in the council of ministers Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday made it clear that continuance of ministers will depend on their performance. Without ruling out the possibility of another round of reshuffle in the ministry Azad in an apparent reference to the performance of the ministers said there is nothing last in the politics. Azad was interacting with media persons after the swearing in ceremony. In response to a question whether he will drop few faces, Azad clarified I have not said that I will drop ministers who are non performing assets. Since this is election year so we will frequently review performance of ministers for better governance and continuance of ministers will depend on their performance, he added. “We have at least one year in office as the term of the existing assembly will last till November 19, he said clearly indicating that assembly elections will be held as per schedule and there is least possibility of pre poning the elections. Wearing a tired look due to his illness, Azad also parried questions on the relationship between PDP and Cong. On the question of convening any meeting of the coordination panel ahead of crucial budget session Azad made a single line remark, “we have no problem of any lack of coordination. We have a perfect coordination between Congress and PDP”. Except my health everything is fine, Azad said smilingly. |
