Most of medicos vacancies filled up: Mangat

Minister for Health and Medical Education Pandit Mangat Ram Sharma has reiterated that providing of better health care facilities to the people is prime motto of the government. He said various reformative initiatives have been taken for upgradation of health institutions which are yielding fruitful results at gross root level.
Interacting with several deputations who called on him here today to present their demands, Health Minister said that the vacant posts of doctors in all health institutions have been almost filled up adding that if any post of doctors remains vacant would be filled at the earliest. He said Dental Surgeons and ISM Doctors would be posted in all Primary Health Centers for easy Health Care Facilities to the ruralities. He said that steps for creation of posts of medicos and para medical staff for newly created district hospitals is also under active consideration of the government.
While interacting with the deputation of Batote led by Senior Vice President District Congress Committee Batote Mr. Vijay Gupta, the Minister said that BMO for Sher-I-Kashmir Accidental Hospital Batote would be posted at the earliest besides other genuine demands would also be looked into.
The deputation of all un-employed Dental Graduates while interacting with the Minister pleaded for age relaxation for government services. The Minister assured them that the matter would be examined and favourable action be initiated at the earliest in this regard.
Another deputation of Civil Secretariat Safai Karam Charies also met the Health Minister and demanded for regularization of the services of those Safai Karam Charies who completed their seven years adhoc services.
A deputation of slum dwellers Jammu led by Mr. Anil Chopra requested the Minister that they should not be affected because of dismantling their temporary structures.
Moreover a large number of individuals from various areas also called on Mr. Sharma for their personal problems and demands and sought help of the Minister.
The Health Minister instructed Secretary Health Mr. K. B. Jandial, Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Jasbir Singh and Director ISM Dr. Abdul Kabir who were present on the occasion that all genuine demands of the people related to health sector should be mitigated well in time.
