| Matoo demands probe into irregularities in Sub Division Bhallessa | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 2 Expressing his deep concern over the delay in investigations by the Vigilance Organization in the alleged irregularities committed by the officials of Special Sub Division Bhallessa, President of the Unemployed Educated Forum Bhalessa Mohamed Yunis Mattoo has appealed to the Chief Minister for conducting a thorough inquire into the malpractices being committed in the division . Mattoo in a hand out issued today said that he had brought the irregularities to the notice of the Vigilance Commissioner on December 3 last but till date no headway has been made. He alleged that several works stand allotted without observing the codel formalities thereby causing huge financial burden on the government exchequer. Alleging that that works amounting to crores of rupees have been allotted to different agencies without the approval of the competent authority and in this connection referred Thathri-Kilhotran road, Batyas-Changa road and Changa-Khaljugasar road which have been allotted to selected persons on exorbitant rates without inviting tenders. He added that maximum works pertaining to PHE sector are being carried out departmentally on exorbitant rates. |
