| Sikhs annoyed over neglect of community | | ‘Plan to meet PM, AICC Chief’ | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 2 Feeling annoyed over the neglect of the community and denying them representation in the state cabinet, various Sikh organizations in an emergent meeting held under the chairmanship of Mohinder Singh Chief Organizer Bhai Kanahlya Jee Nishkam Seva Society have threatened to come to streets if due representation was not given to the community in the decision making bodies. The meeting while expressing concern over the neglect of the community decided to call on Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi at New Delhi to apprise them about the step motherly treatment being meted out to the community, who has all through been with the Congress party and sacrificed for the sovereignty of the country, especially Jammu and Kashmir State. The meeting felt that while all the communities have been given representation in the council of ministers, the Sikh community has been neglected all together. The meeting, among others, was attended by Ranjit Singh, Member SGPB, Paramjit Singh President AISSF, Master Amar Singh, President Sikh Welfare Society, Kulwant Singh, Chief Advisor Sikh Nowjwan Sabha, Harbans Kour, President Dharam Prachar Committee, Gazan Singh Simbal Campm Kultar Singh, Kanchan Singh Chatha and Harjit Singh Kartar. |
