| Five killed, one injured in accidents | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 2 Five persons were killed while another suffered serious injuries in different road accidents across Jammu region during the last 24 hours. According to reports one person was knocked to death while another was seriously injured when motorcycle bearing number JK02AC/4247 was hit by a car bearing number JKD/2231 near petrol pump Kharian under the jurisdiction of police station Bishnah. The deceased has been identified as Harjinder Singh son of Bachan Singh resident of Gangyal and the injured as Kuldeep Singh son of Saroop Singh resident of Rampura Gandhi Nagar who was later admitted in Government Medical College Hospital Jammu (GMCH). In another road mishap, two persons identified as Gulshan Kumar son of Pritam Chand resident of Grain Kathua and Mahesh Sharma son of Manchar Lal resident of Changran Kathua who were injured in a vehicular accident at Tikri on Dec 29 last and admitted in (GMCH) Jammu expired today. Similarly, in one more road mishap one person namely Mithu Ram son of Rohonic resident of Sumeria Chatisgarh was hit by a vehicle under the jurisdiction of police station Bagh Bahu. The injured was shifted to (GMCH) Jammu where he succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, in an another accident a truck driver Surjeet Singh resident of Gool Gujral Jammu died on the spot when his truck rolled down in Udhampur area. |
