Adbi Kunj felicitates Masoodi

Adhi Kunj, held its 48th literary meet which was presided over by noted Urdu poet Rahat Hussain. The meet started with the welcome address of Sham Talib, President Abdi Kunj and was followed by complimentary session in which Dr. Rafiuque Masoodi, Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and languages was felicitated for having been awarded Bharat Gaurav Award 2007.Eminent Dogri writer and poetess Padam-Shri, Padma Sachdev was congratulated for brining out her autobiography in Dogri titled ‘Chit-chitey’ Chairman Kashmir Times group of Newspapers was congratulated for starting publication of a Dogri daily News paper ‘Jamu Prabhat’ and well known Dogri singer Ghulam Mohd was also complimented for being given Sangeet Natak Academy Award. Punjabi playwright Kripal Singh Kasali was also congratulated for being elected as President Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu.
On the occasion tributes were paid to well known singer Mohd. Rafi on his 83thbirth anniversary. Tributes were also paid to noted Kashmiri short-story writer Bashir Akhtar and well known playwright and theatre personality Kiran Kashmiri who passed away lost month at Delhi.
In story session Talib Kashmiri presented ‘Shinakht-e-Gul’ comparing human life with flowers, Muni Lal Puri read out his write-up onAlama Iqbal. Rajeshwar Bhakri and Chander Ved Prakash presented a Hindi story ‘Apradhi’ and a Dogri sketch ‘Ek Sawal’ respectively. Susheel Begana presented a detailed report in Urdu about the participation of Adbi Kunj literary delegation in the three day Seminar ‘Rashtriya Kavi Sammelan Sangam” at Delhi recently.
In the poetic Muni Lal Puri, Rakesh Tript, Talib Kashmiri, Susheel Begana, Kimti Lal Deewana, P.L. Parihar, Rajeshwar Bhakri, Suresh Rahi, Rajeev Kumar, Chander Ved Prakash, Ayodhaya Rani Gamkhwar, Chand Deepika, Shukunt Deep Mala, Daya Ram Daya, Nargis Sitara,k Rahat Hussain and Sham Talib read out latest Ghazals and poems.
