Jammu | Dec 2
The state president of Samajwadi Party (SP) Sheikh Abdul Rehman strongly criticized the coalition government for its utter failure on all fronts, while addressing a public meeting at village Khanpura in block Marh here today.
Rehman said, despite liberal flow of funds from the centre, the coalition government failed to full-fill the promises made during election. He said govt has no policy to tackle un-employment in the state. He said prices of essential commodities are touching new heights and there is touching new heights and there is no check.
With regard to ‘Roshni Act’ Rehman said, it has become a complete fraud as there is mass scale of tampering in revenue records and lakhs of rupees have been transacted under table on this account.
He said virtually ‘Roshni Act’ has benefited the Bhatindi dwellers including former and present Chief Ministers, Ministers, several MPS/MLAs senior Police and Revenue bureaucrats. Only one Minister of Azad regime has regularized illegal occupation of about 340 kanals of land belonging to one Tilak Raj of Phallian Mandal what to speak of others.
Regarding sympathy of NC, Congress and PDP towards the plight of unemployed youth in the state, Rehman said that these Parties while remaining in seat of power did nothing for the unemployed youth and now when the general elections are at hand, these parties are shedding crocodile tears simply to gain sympathy befool them. He cautioned the unemployed youth not to fall into the trap of deceptive slogans of these parties and remain vigilant.
Referring to announcement made by Chief Minister at Banihal regarding sanctioning of three months free ration to drought hit farmers of Distt. Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar, Rehman said that mere three months free ration to the affected people of these areas, is a complete joke with them because their Kharif crops have failed completely and sowing of Rabi crops became impossible due to continued drought. Therefore, the Samajwadi Party demands distribution of free ration for 12 months for the people of these areas in view of failure of both Kharif and Rabi crops.
