The Managing Committee of the Press Club of Jammu (PCJ) has congratulated Ashraf Sahil, Member PCJ and Director, Doordarshan Kendra, Chandigarh who is shortly being honoured by Jammu & Kashmir Governor, Retd.Lt. General S.K.Sinha, by the State Award, in best journalist category, for his outstanding contribution on the field of journalism.
It may be recalled that the Ashraf Sahil is the only journalist who worked at the time of peak militancy in Kashmir as Director Doordarshan Srinagar, a statement issued by the club said.
