| Padder region is being ignored alleges PDF | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 3 As far as development of entire tehsil Padder is concerned it is far behind with compare to other tehsils of the state said, chairman Paddar development forum (PDF) Ram Singh Chouhan at a press conference here today. Choughan said the neighboring areas Zanskar in Ladakh and Pangi in Himachal Pradesh once dependent on Paddar have progressed better than Paddar, by virtue of constitutional mechanism of schedule tribe. But the successive govt. of J&K since 1947 paid very little attention towards tehsil Paddar. He said demands of the people of this far-flung have never met. He said educated youth of the area are jobless and govt. is doing nothing for them. Speaking on the occasion, the chairman, Paddar Youth development forum (PYDF). Mohinder Singh Rana said that the Paddar region is bearing the brunt at the hands of the local administration for the last many years. While highlighting problems which include opening of degree college, sanctioning of Kirthai Hydro project, constitution of Kishtwar development authority and to provide scholarship to the students of the area. Rana said, then only this far-flung areas of district Kishtwar will be able to march towards progress and development. Raina further said that forest corp. (SFC) is unnecessarily felling down the trees in the region. He urged upon the authorities to check this menace. |
