Jammu | Jan 3
Jammu and Kashmir Human Rights Watch has expressed concern over the lack of basic amenities in the upper reaches of border Rajouri district.
Addressing Media persons here on Thursday, Chairman JKHRW, B.L. Kapoor said that during their recent visit to far-flung areas of Rajouri they found the people living miserable life in these areas.
" We have visited Budhal, Khawas, Peeri, Sokar, Swari and other far flung areas of district but we were disheartened on seeing the condition of the people living in these areas," he said.
There is non availability of potable water, electricity and medical facilities in these far flung areas and no development seems to have taken place at ground level, he alleged.
