| 27 year old girl abducted, another attempts suicide | | | Early Times Reporter
Srinagar | Jan 3
Unidentified gunmen, said to be militants, kidnapped a 27 year old girl from her home in Ganderbal area of Central Kashmir, while a lady attempted suicide by immolating herself.
Official spokesman said that during the intervening night of and January 1- 2, 2008 a lady Afroza, daughter of Abdul Salam Lone of Kawbagh Nunner, Ganderbal was kidnapped by some unidentified militants from her home.
Police has registered a case in this regard and has launched a manhunt to nab the culprits and rescue the kidnapped lady.
In a separate incident, a lady attempted suicide by immolating herself at home. She was rushed to SKIMS Soura where she is battling between life and death.
Identified as Shameema wife of Mohammad Iqbal Yatoo of Peth Nambal, the woman according to sources had a tiff off with her husband over some issue. However parents of the lady alleged that she was forced to take such an extreme step.
Police has registered a case in this regard and taken up the investigations. |
