| Hideout busted in Surankote, huge cache recovered | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 3 Security forces today busted a hideout in the Gajna South East of Surankot in Poonch district and recovered large quantity of ammunition from the spot. According to reports based on specific information, the troops of 38 Rashtriya Rifles (MADRAS) (13 Sector RR) under the aegis of Romeo Force recovered a cache from a natural cave in Gajna South East of Surankot today. The recovered cache comprised one Satellite Phone Charger with Solar Panel, one Hand Held Radio Set, 15 Rounds assorted ammunition, IED materials, sleeping mats, communication Matrix sheet, four Diaries, pouches and other war like stores. Giving details, SDPO Mendhar Sanjay Singh Rana said that after receiving information that militants are using a place in Narol as hideout police along with 39 RR launched a search operation and recovered two LPG Gas Cylinders, three Mobiles with three SIMS including one of Pak-Tel. He said five Blankets, besides some other material was also recovered from the hideout adding that the documents and SIM cards recovered are being ascertained by the police. Meanwhile in another incident a joint party of police and 129 Bn CRPF on specific information also busted a militant hideout near in Nadihal area of Baramulla district. One AK 47 rifle, 1 AK magazine and 30 AK rounds of ammunition have been recovered from the hideout. Police has registered a case in this regard. |
