| Reshuffle: confined to musical chair game for Congress-PDP to complete coalition term, observed some | | | Sanjay Khajuria Jammu | Jan 3 THE NEW YEAR has become a roller costar for the state politicians as some lose their smiles while others has reasons to smile after the recent long awaited cabinet expansion. The new formula of reshuffle in the ministerial berth has infact left many seniors frowned but are not admitting it openly, some observed. ‘The list of reshuffling the charges of the ministries within the coalition government elevating some, shunting down some and chopping off wings of some has surprised all not only the ministers who lose their chairs or were forced to share their powers with another from the other party, some felt. Sources within Congress disclosed that the beginning of year has left the women command in dejected completely though they don’t utter a word but discontent was there amongst the women section. “there were reports in some media section that senior women leaders namely Farida Muneer, Khemlata Wakhloo, Kanta Andotra and even the Ex Health Minister Suamn Lata are in the rat race of the ministerial berth but all yet are licking their wounds finding themselves out of the ‘much anticipated Musical Chair Game’ that left many congress leaders sulking, sources said. Some political observers keeping tab upon the political happenings also apprehended if taken very-very seriously by the battery of think tanks of the opposition National Conference and BJP this would be used real weapon for them in the coming polls in 2008. None in political and the non political circles after the almost 24 hrs yet has been able to solve this riddle of keeping two Ministers of State in some ministries. Some even described it might be the Congress succumbing to the pressure from the Peoples’ Democratic Party or the New Delhi with whom the PDP high command is in constant touch. But whatever be the reason at political grounds and local think tank of coalition may defend it strongly another achievement but common man in state too is in a capacity to see through the trick that it was aimed only to keep the flock together by the present Azad led coalition. Common people like Jaswant Singh an ex-serviceman and one of devotees of today’s procession to mark the Guruparab said, “Many still are wondered about the recent reshuffle when one congress man resigned while others were forced to share their ministerial pies with two MoS.’ Probably the Congress doesn’t want to annoy its ally the PDP at the present circumstances when the leaders from Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) and LUTF are camping in the winter capital and are calling on the political leaders from National Conference and BJP alleging that the Law and order situation in Leh was deteriorating day by day. A similar delegation of LAHDC under the leadership of Member Parliament Thupstan Chewang and Chief executive Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council on the other day called on Leader of the Opposition in Legislative Assembly Abdul Rehim Rather to apprise him their issues and problems. At the meantime LUTF has called on BJP senior leaders accusing the Congress Coalition as a failure to meet their aspirations. When contacted State president BJP Ashok Khajuria talking to Early Times said, “What I personally feel is that all this is aimed only to let the things carry on and not to face the fury from strong ally the PDP. Congress at present can withstand and bear the internal rifts as apparently seen in Poonch-Haveli polls but is not in position to shield the under hand blows from the PDP.” Khajuria underlined the smoldering of Ladakhis about their neglect and said that Ladakhis are staunch nationalistic force but now have been sidelined by the Congress. |
