| NCC routs Kashmir Club in President Cup | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 4 National Cricket Club (NCC) trounced Kashmir Cricket Club (KCC) Srinagar by a big margin of 99 runs to enter the next round of ongoing President Cup cricket tournament at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here today. Earlier, NCC won the toss and decided to bat first they made 180 runs losing all their wickets in 37 overs of the 40 overs match, which, in reply, KCC could not chase and bowled out for a small total of 81 runs in 27th over. Ved Parkash was top scorer from NCC with 41 runs while Kavaljeet Singh and Rajat Bali contributed 31 and 20 runs respectively. Manish Dogra added 17 runs to the total. From KCC, Abdul Rashid bagged four wickets for 23 runs in six overs and Sajjad Ahmed took three for 19 runs. Chasing a target of over four runs per over, KCC could not even touch the 100 runs mark and the whole side bolwed out for 81 runs in 27 overs. Manan Malik and Kanav Sathe were main scorers with 17 and 28 runs respectively. Pranav Mahajan and Inderjeet Singh shared three wickets each from NCC.
