| T-20 Cricket: Cantt Club wins low scoring game | | | Early Times Reporter

The Cantt Cricket Club today recorded an easy eight-wicket win over LG Cricket Club in the ongoing T-20 cricket tournament organized by Luxmi Cricket Club at Parade Ground, here.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, LG Club bowled out for a meager total of 45 runs in 11.4 overs of the 20 overs match. In reply, Cantt Club chased the target in mere 10.3 overs for the loss of two wickets.
Except for Lucky, who made 15 runs with help of a six and a four, no other batsman from LG Club could touch the double figure mark. Four batsmen went to the pavilion without opening their account. From Cantt Club, Gourav bagged three wickets, followed by Omesh and Raj Kumar, who shared two each.
Batting second, Cantt Club lost two early wickets of openers, Vijay Gupta (5) and Riaz (6) but thanks to a sensible batting by Parshotam and Bunty, who remained unbeaten guiding their side to a superb eight-wicket victory. While Parshotam made 17 runs, Bunty contributed 12 with the help of two fours. Rakesh and Shafiq bagged one wicket each for LGCC.
Gourav was later adjudged man of the match for his excellent bowling (2.4-0-6-3). |
