| 342 Prakash Utsav of guru Gobind Singh celebrated | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 5 The 342 Prakash Utsav (Birth anniversary) of Guru Gobind Singh was celebrated with full religious fervor and zeal in Jammu region today. Since early morning ‘Prabhat Paharies’ were taking out, attended by large number of people both young and old. On the occasion, Gurudwaras were fully decorated and in the evening there Gurudwaras were illuminated. The main function to celebrate the Prakash Utsav was held at Gurudwara, Sri Guru Nanak Dev, Chand Nagar Jointly by the DGPC (adhoc) and state Gurudwara Parbandak Board headed by MLC, T.S. Wazir. On the occasion a Dewan was organized were scholars of Sikkhism threw light on the life, teachings and mission of the guru for the welfare of humanity. The organizers at the Gurudwara had made elaborated arrangements for ‘Guru Ka Langar’. On the occasion Bhai Simranjit Singh, Bhai Sahib Parpal from ‘Durbar Sahib’ Amritsar recited Gurbani and Kirtan which enriched the Sangat present on the occasion. Among others who also spoke on the occasion was Chairman, Sikh Missionary college, Harbhajan Singh.
