Tawi Trekkers Jammu and Kashmir shall honour three international women climbers of India at its Silver Jubilee function to be held here tomorrow.
The three climbers are Vathsala (Bangalore), Shanthi Rani (Manipur) and Dasini Devi, who belongs to Manipur but now settled in Delhi.
“Besides these star climbers of the country, we have also invited chief judge of sport climbing in the country, S Bhattacharya, better known as `Father of Sports Climbing in India’ as guest of honour,” general secretary of Tawi Trekkers, Ram Khajuria told SAN. Munish Gupta, an ex-chief coach of Indian team and a national route setter shall be among the distinguished guests along with B C Nainwal, Mitra Ghosh, both sport climbing judges and Renu Gupta, a two time national champion and an international climber.
Meanwhile, in tomorrow function, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Anil Goswami has consented to be the chief guest. Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, B R Sharma shall preside over the function. |
