| ‘Forces thriving on bloodshed don’t want resolution of Kashmir tangle’, Bazaz | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 5 ‘Asking India and Pakistan to take concrete measures to resolve the Kashmir issue and to end human tragedy in the state’, Chief of the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum, Pandit Bushan Bazaz said ‘time has come to make much needed breakthrough on this most crucial issue’. He was speaking at a seminar titled ‘Towards peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue’, organized here today, which was among others, attended by professors, journalists, writers and trade unionists from all over the country. Pointing out that people in the state had suffered immensely due to the on going militancy for the last 19 years, he said ‘this should end now’, and hoped that ‘Pak President Parvez Musharraf and the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would do their utmost to revolve the dispute’. ‘Alleging that some forces in both the neighboring countries have developed interests into non- resolution of the Kashmir issue’, he felt ‘these very forces’ do not want that the issue should be resolved and violence stopped as their livelihood depends on the bloodshed’. |
