Even though the Finance Minister rolled back on his statement on the common currency, the Panthers Party leader Prof Bhim Singh today impressed upon the Chief Minister to sack the "Law Minister" for his anti-national statement.
In an elaborate statement against the Chief Minister for allowing a Minister to talk about separate currency, the Panthers Party leader went on to identify the minister in question as "Law Minister". It is pertinent to mention here that the statement on separate currency for Jammu and Kashmir was made by the Finance Minister Tariq Hameed Karra who is not the Law Minister. In fact the Law Minister is the Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig.
"The Law Minister is the appointee of the Chief Minister. How the Law Minister is allowed to indulge into the illegal activities which amount to challenge the nation's flag and currency thus committing an act of sedition", said Bhim Singh unmindful of the fact that Karra is not the Law Minister.
Prof. Bhim Singh said that this raises the questions against the integrity of the Chief Minister who has kept complete silence on the act of his minister. If Chief Minister has no tacit understanding with the Law Minister, he should have sacked the Law Minister within minutes after he made such remarks as amounted to treason under the Constitution and violated the contents of the oath of secrecy that the Law Minister has sworn.
Prof. Bhim Singh has urged the Prime Minister for his immediate intervention so that Chief Minister sacks the Law Minister and takes appropriate legal action failing which the Prime Minister should sack the entire government in the interest of National Integrity and security of the State. |
