Bad light halts proceedings in T-20

Due to bad light appeal by the team chasing the total, the match between Jammu Gymkhana Cricket Club and Challenger Cricket Club in the ongoing Twenty-20 cricket tournament at Parade Ground could not be completed today.
When the bad light appeal was made to the umpires, Chellangers were marching towards a possible victory with Vivek Singh playing at unbeaten 85 brining the team’s total to 105 for three in 13 overs.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Jammu Gymkhana set a target of 151 runs for the loss of five wickets, which included a pinching knock of 23 (4x4, 1x6) by Ashok including 22 in the second last over bowled by Rohit Bhat. Karan Dogra remained the highest scorer from Jammu Gymkhana with 51-ball 56 (7x4, 1x6) runs.
Meanwhile, according to the member organizing committee and senior vice-president of host Luxmi Cricket Club, Pawan Gupta, the remaining seven game of seven overs shall be played on a later date.
