| JU research scholars flays J&K govt for slow recruitment process | | | Jammu / Aug 23, 2006 Research scholars of Jammu University flayed state government for its negligent attitude towards the recruitment process in the state. Scholars alleged that government is not serious about the career and future of the unemployed youths in the state as, recruitment process of all the advertised vacancies is getting delayed unnecessarily. Scholars also expressed serious concerns over the poor infrastructure in the newly opened colleges. Addressing a press conference, Vikas Sharma, senior scholar said that process to the all the advertised government jobs is at complete standstill. Thousands of unemployed youths of the state have applied for the various government jobs under SSRB but the process of recruitment is very slow. He said that frustration among the unemployed youth is increasing, as they are getting overage. He also demanded preference to JU scholars for the contractual appointment as lecturer in colleges. While, Anuradha Goswami, vice–president JURSEA demanded stern action against the illegal study centers in J&K as per the President of India letter to the Chief Secretary of state. She criticized authorities at the helm of affairs for not initiating any action in this case. She appealed Chief Minister to immediately look into these all issues and initiate action at the earliest to relieve unemployed youths. Others also present on the occasion were Amit Bali, Pankaj Mansotra, Rashpal Singh and Kuldeep Raj Bhagat.
