| IIPA holds open discussion on Pak situation | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 6 Chairman, J&K Regional Branch of Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) Dr. S. S. Bleoeria presented a pape on “Recent Development in Pakistan” yesterday evening at Amar Singh club, Jammu. In his speech, Dr. Bloeria said that the relations between the neighboring countries of the sub-continent are building up but at the same time, he said that internal situation within Pakistan has created temporary standstill in the dialogue process. He hoped that the situation within Pakistan at the moment would ease out and dialogue process would restore. He further said that peace was imperative to foster the relations among people living in sub-continent. Earlier, Honorary Secretary, IIPA Dr. Ashok Bhan in his well come address said while thanking the participants said that the J&K Regional Branch of IIPA has been conducting seminars, symposia, debates and open discussions on various issues of the current age. This he said has been instrumental in building a positive opinion among intellectuals and civil societies. Referring to Recent Development in Pakistan Dr. Bhan said that people of Pakistan would have to rise above their individual consideration and put in their efforts for complete restoration of democracy. He said that ongoing situation within Pakistan is a concern for all its neighboring countries as peace was imperative for prosperity of entire SAARC countries especially two neighboring countries of sub-continent. Thanking the participants and experts, Dr. Bhan said that the lively discussions had made the event interesting and fruitful. Vote of thanks was presented by Vice Chairman, J&K Regional Branch, IIPA Dr. G. N. Qasba. He thanked distinguished guests, experts and all those who participated in the discussions. Threadbare discussions were held regarding the paper and various questions were raised by the distinguished guests during the discussions which opened a very cordial and lively exchange of thoughts and understanding each others view point on the subject. A large gathering of intellectuals, scholars, experts and members of J&K Regional Branch of IIPA attended the function. |
