| Group of 462 rural youth on cultural exchange tour | | Call on Prez, PM, other ministers in Capital | | JAMMU AUG-23- A group of 462 youth both male and female from all the 14 districts of Jammu and Kashmir who are currently on a cultural exchange tour to different parts of the country called on President, Prime Minister and other several Union Ministers including Home, Youth Affairs and Sports, MOS Home and Minister for Water Resources during their stay in the union capital from 19-21 August. The participants later departed to different states including Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Daman and Deo, Kerala , Sikkim, Bihar, UP and Mizoram for seven-day home stay along with families in these states. The tour has been sponsored by Union Ministry of Home, Department of Jammu and Kashmir, and organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan . Earlier, the State Transport Minister Mangat Ram Sharma inaugurated the two- day festival at Youth Hostel Nagrota on August 17. MP, Gharu Ram and Jugal Kishore legislators were also present. ‘Organizing such type of programs for the rural youth will encourage them to come forward and participate in the national building activities for overall development of the country, said Mangat Ram. Ch Lal Singh MP flagged off the tour and while interacting with the group he appreciated the efforts of the government for organizing such type of cultural exchange programs for rural youth of Jammu and Kashmir District Youth Coordinator Nisar Ahmed was also present.
