| ICE Hockey C’ship begins at Leh | | | Early Times Reporter

Ist CEC ICE Hockey running Championship began today at Leh which was inaugurated by Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh, Chering Dorje.
The championship was organized jointly by the District Youth Services and Sports Department and Ladakh Winter sports club, Leh. About 7 teams are participating in the tournament.
In the inaugural match , ITBP thrashed Skara Club by 5-0.
While addressing the inaugural function at Karzoo Ice Hockey Rink, the CEC , LAHDC , Leh said that the aim of holding CEC cup was to provide more opportunities to the budding players which would ultimately lead to promote winter games in Ladakh.
Dorje expressed that the players would exhibit a spirit of sportsmanship during the tournament and simultaneously the youngsters would get inspirations from such games.
Deputy Commissioner, Leh Mk bhandari also the chairman of organizing committee of CEC Cup in his welcome address said that holding of this tournament is aresult of LAHDC’s concept to promote winter games in Ladakh.
