Shia Federation Jammu Province has demanded elaborate arrangements for observance of Muharram and smooth conduct of late night Muharram processions in the winter capital, as is being done in Kashmir Valley.
Ashaq Hussain Khan Federation President has alleged that while several senior ministers were personally supervising the arrangements in Kashmir Valley, no one was bothered to take review or supervise the arrangements made in Jammu for smooth conduct of the religious congregations.
Khan has urged the state administration to ensure uninterrupted supply of power and drinking water in the Shia community areas including Poonch, Surankot, Mendhar, Rajouri, Chnderkot, Jammu, Janipur, New Plots, Ustad Mohammed and Wazarat road during the Muharram days, besides making foolproof security arrangements. |
