| Two die under suspicious circumstances | | Two killed, 31 injuries in road mishaps | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 7 Two persons were killed and 31 others suffered injuries in separate road mishaps across Jammu region during the last 24 hours while two persons, including a lady, died under suspicious circumstances. According to official reports, driver of a bus bearing registration NO 9477/JK-2R died on the spot and 15 other passengers, traveling in it, suffered injuries when it rolled down about 25 feet from the road near Saman last night. The ill fated bus was on its way from Bani to Jammu. The deceased has been identified as Raj Kumar son of Dharam Chand of Mour tehsil Katra of Reasi district. In another road mishap, a truck driver lost his life when his vehicle skidded off the road and rolled down into 600 feet gorge near Chater Pari Kurrmail last evening. The identification of the deceased has not been established so far, however, his body has been shifted to PHS Assar for postmortem and identification. Meanwhile, 16 persons suffered injuries in a head on collusion between two Matadors at Muthi near KC Public School. All the injuried have been shifted to GMC Hospital for treatment. The reports further said that body of a 34- year lady identified as Veena Sharma wife of Sushil Kumar resident of Sunderbani, presently at Muthi camp, was brought to GMC Hospital here by her husband. Reportedly she died in her house under suspicious circumstances. In another such incident one person identified as 37- year Saleem Mashih son of Lattu Mashih of Chinor, committed suicide by hanging at his residence. He was shifted to GMC where the doctors pronounced him as brought dead. The Police have taken cognizance and started investigation U/S 174 Cr. PC in both the cases. |
