| No administrative reshuffle for now | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 7 Despite many top levels administrative positions lying vacant for quite sometime, the government does not appear in any mood to affect a reshuffle in the administration. In indication in this connection was got today when the Government conferred some additional charges of important positions on two officers instead of making full time postings. The Commissioner-Secretary to government Cooperative Department Mr. D.K. Nargotra has been asked to hold the charge of the post of Administrative Secretary, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department in addition to his own duties till further orders. Besides, Director General Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management,Public Administration and Rural Development Mr. Madhav Lal shall hold the charge of the post of Financial Commissioner, Revenue in addition to his own duties till further orders, as per government order issued today. The post of Financial Commissioner Revenue has been lying vacant since November 30 after the retirement of GD Wadhwa. There are many other posts still lying vacant. The post of administrative secretary in the Home department is also lying vacant after the elevation of BR Kundal to the position of Chief Secretary in October last year. Kundal was the Financial Commissioner Home and ever since this post is lying vacant. Sources said that the government is not likely to effect any major transfer postings during the period of assembly session. |
