Though bonhomie in their relations with the Congress is quite evident but the top brass of the Peoples Democratic Party was conspicuous by their absence in the legislative assembly when the session began.
It may be mentioned here that the PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is away in Dubai and is likely to return in next couple of days.
Three senior most leaders of the Peoples Democratic party Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Muzaffar Husssian Baig and Ghulam Hassan Mir were conspicuous by their absence during the opening day of the budget session of the state legislature. As a result seats numbers two and three, allotted to PDP patron and deputy chief Minister remained vacant in the Assembly.
Reports said that Mr Baig could not come to the Assembly because he was unwell. Ghulam Hassan Mir could not make it because he was stuck up in Srinagar and could not reach Jammu owing to cancellation of flights. |
