| Transporter, driver held with charas | | | JAMMU AUG-23- Police today arrested a transporter and a sumo driver and recovered over one kilogram charas from their possession.
According to reports, Pacca Danga Police on a specific information laid a naka at Ambphalla on the direction of SP North Sanjay Kotwal and conducted search of the vehicles. During search, the naka party led by Sub Inspector Som Raj spotted a vehicle without registration number and asked the driver to stop. During search of the vehicle the party recovered one kg and 100 grams charas and arrested two persons on spot. They have been identified as Shakeel Ahmed son of Abdul Aalam a transporter and Sumo driver Surinder Singh son of Amarnath both residents of Ustad Mohalla
Police has registered a case and during preliminary investigation the duo are reported to have confessed that they were active in the area for some years and were selling charas in many areas.
