Crime escalates under the shadow of tinted windows

With the increase in light motor vehicles on Srinagar roads, use of black- tinted windows is at the rapid pace. This has given rise to criminal activates, as per experts. They say that anti-social elements take to many immoral activates under the shade of black-tinted windows of light-motor vehicles.
Police says that most of the cars with tinted windows don't hold any certificate, necessary for using blank-tinted windows in vehicles.
SSP securities say that the permission can be granted to those people who are guarded by security men including VIP and VVIP groups of valley. "Around five percent vehicles are tinted and most of them are without permission. It has resulted into alarming criminal activities and most of the kidnapping cases took place in these vehicles," he says.
It is important to mention here that the recent abductions of girls from Tangmarg, Dalgate, Chanapora areas were done by using black-tinted cars and a couple was caught in a compromising position near Khanyar.
According to People, such immoral activities using tinted cars are mostly witnessed from Baghat, Boulevard Road, and deserted colonies of Sanat-Nagar, Hyderpora, Humahama.
According to sources, the person who belongs to influential families somehow manages to get permission letters in order to shield their immoral acts. The traffic department deliberately ignore this crime and the number of tinted vehicles is increasing after every passing day. "This thing is already in our notice and we have directed our field team to seize such cars," said SSP traffic Kashmir, Abdul Hamid.
