JKFA mourns Manzoor’s demise

In a meeting held here today, the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) expressed condolences over demise of a talented footballer, Manzoor Ahmed Sheikh who died in a landslide at Panthal on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on January 8.
Manzoor, 29, is survived by wife and a 15 months old daughter.
The meeting which was chaired by Association general secretary, Bashir Ahmed Malik termed Manzoor as a dedicated sportsman and a thorough gentleman.
A member of the Salina Sports Football Club, a senior super division club, Manzoor was on way from Jammu to his native place when the accident took place.
Meanwhile, the members of the JKFA also paid a visit to the family of Manzoor Ahmed at his residence at Solina in Srinagar and expressed their condolences to the bereaved family. They also prayed to the Almightly for peace to the departed soul and courage to the family to bear the irreparable loss.
