| BJYM Working Committee meets | | ‘Youth worst sufferers of coalition policies’, Khajuria | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 10 BJP State President Ashok Khajuria, accompanied by party MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma and BJYM State President Pawan Khajuria, today inaugurated one-day meeting of State Working Committee of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) at Muthi. The party leaders lighted the traditional lamp and garlanded the portrait of Bharat Mata. Ashok Khajuria, while addressing the inaugural session, said that the youth in the state is worst affected by the policies of the present PDP-Congress coalition. Thousands of youth are coming out of colleges, universities after completing their academic and technical courses with the hope of getting jobs but unfortunately they get frustrated in absence of any service avenues in the state. Only, those with approach at higher places or those who are in a position to bribe, are given jobs and rest have been left at the care of God. Highly educated youth are sitting on dharnas for the last over six months, some are even sitting on hunger strikes, attempting self-immolations but no one in the government is bothered. Ashok Khajuria said that the youth of the state has no place in the scheme of things of this coalition government. Even assurances given on the floor of the House by none other than the Chief Minister himself for meeting the demands of the agitating youth are not being fulfilled. How much concerned the coalition government is for the youth is clear from the way it ousted employees who have put up their more than eight years in regular service in departments like Excise and Sales Tax. This government works on the policy—No jobs for unemployed and oust the already in service. The BJP chief asked the youth to get united to exert pressure on the coalition government so that a clear cut ‘Youth Policy’ is formulated and the youth is in a position to get jobs according to their academic and technical qualifications. Later, a resolution, containing discriminatory policies of the coalition government towards youth, preferential treatment to the youth of the valley and demands for the betterment and welfare of the youth was tabled, which after discussions was unanimously passed with the pledge to reach the youth, bring them on one platform to get their due share. State Gen. Secretaries Ajay Jamwal and Shamsher Singh Manhas, Jugal Kishore Sharma and Pawan Khajuria also addressed different sessions of the day long meet.
