After assuming the charge as minister for industries for commerce, Nawang Rigzin visited the Chamber house today and interacted with the members of Jammu Chamber of commerce and industry.
Welcoming the minister the president of Chamber, Ram Sahai said under your guidance the industries sector in the state will touch new height, keeping in view your part experience and understanding.
Sahni said the central package of incentives which was provided for the development of industry in the state for receiving substantial investments from outside the state has definitely created the industrial cultural and Industry friendly atmosphere in the state. But the same package of incentives provided to the state of Uttranchal and Himachal have received much more investments which is manifold in comparison with the meager investments of Rs. 4500 crores received by our state. On the occasion suggested that a committee under the chairmanship of commissioner secretary industries and commerce be constituted including Chambers and federation and industries of both the regions for visiting the states of Uttranchal and Sahani urged upon the minister that the central govt. departments and defence forces located in the state need to be emphasized to give purchase preference to the local SSI units for the items needed by them and manufactured locally. The local SSI units are ready to work on the prices as worked out on landed cost of the DGS and D rate contracts awarded to other outside manufactures who make supplies to these buyers in J&K. The inspection of the goods can be carried out by these agencies and local SSI units assure to make supplies as per relevant bureau of India standards specifications, he said, he also said that state government should immediately take up for establishment of ESI hospital at Samba, beside a adequate power infrastructure should be created of major industries coming up their.
He said on Chamber’s request the online registration of the units was started which continued for 7-8 months and thereafter for the reasons unknown the same was discontinued. It is requested that online registration should be started immediately. |
