Lok Adalat awards Rs.12.21 lakh to 10 MACT claimants

The Lok Adalat organized under the over all supervision of Principal District and Sessions Judge, Udhampur, Mr. A.K. Shan, who is also Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), has awarded compensation of Rs.12.21 Lakhs to 10 MACT claimants.
In all, 14 MACT claim cases of different Insurance Companies were taken up for hearing, of these10 cases were disposed off. The second bench headed by District Mobile Magistrate, Udhampur, Mr. Ajay Gupta, decided all the 32 challans listed for hearing with the realization of compounding fee of Rs.7750 on the spot.
The Chief Judicial Magistrate, Udhampur, Mr. M.K. Wattal assisted the Chairman DLSA in disposal of MACT claim cases. According to the Chairman, DLSA, Udhampur, the next Lok Adalat will be held at Udhampur on February 9 next.
