Murder case solved, two accused held

Police today claimed to have solved the blind murder case of a driver of the Rural Development Department with the arrest of two accused involved in it.
Displaying sheer professionalism, the Sub Divisional Police Officer Gandhi Nagar Sukhdev Raj along with I/C PP Chatha Naveen Sharma solved the blind murder case of a driver of Rural Department at Chatha Pind who was murdered on January 8 night and also apprehended all accused involved in the heinous crime.
According to reports SP City South Zahid Manhas constituted a team of police officers/officials headed by SHO Satwari Arvind Kotwal under the direct supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Sukhdev Raj Bhasin, who personally camped in the area to take the investigation to its logical end. After hectic efforts and sustained interrogation of the suspects rounded up by police on the same night, police tightened its noose on one of the suspects identified as Sandeep Singh who during interrogation broke down and revealed that he along with the deceased Ajmeet Singh went to a tea stall at Chatha Pind in a Maruti Car bearing registration No.JK02AC-1426 in drunken condition. The deceased asked Sandeep Sigh to accompany him to teach a lesson to one Surjeet Singh s/o Harnam Singh of Sajadpur who happens to be a driver of a matador owned by the deceased over the issue of payment of money. Sandeep Singh suggested him to postpone his plan of beating the driver of the Matador as they were heavily drunk. In the meanwhile, one Inderjeet Singh (Sonu) s/o Tirth Singh r/o Bhor Camp incidentally hit the Maruti car of Sandeep with his matador bearing registration No.JK02Q-1965 from behind.
Inderjeet and Sandeep Singh involved themselves in a verbal duel. In the meantime Ajmeet Singh who was drunk attacked Inderjeet Singh with a Kirch. In retaliation Inderjeet Singh, inflicted eight stab injuries over his body and fled away from the spot leaving his victim in the pool of blood. Later on, he died on spot. Police also arrested one Satpaul Singh s/o Jaswant Singh r/o Sajadpur Chatha for helping Inderjeet Singh to flee from the spot.
