Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 12 Shiv Kumar Sharma has retained the post of president of Jammu and Kashmir Indian Style Wrestling Association in an election meeting held here on the other day. Prem Choudhary, an NIS qualified veteran wrestler has been elected to the post of chairman of the Association. Choudhary was also a unanimous choice of the general body which met under the chairmanship of Inderjeet Khajuria, retired DFO and a prominent businessman. However, a national wrestler, Rakesh Khajuria has replaced Bansi Lal Sharma as general secretary of the Association while Prithvi Raj Sharma was named as treasurer of the new body. The election was supervised by the representatives from J&K State Sports Council, Vijay Kumar Sharma and general secretary of the Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, Roshan Lal. In all, 29 members representing various district units of the Association attended the meeting, including Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramulla, Doda, Udhampur, Reasi, Jammu, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch. |
