| Agitating KPs to call off strike today | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 13 The Kashmiri Pandit Migrants who are on hunger strike for the last twenty three days demanding relief for bifurcated ration cards are likely to call off the strike despite getting no assurance from the government. However, there are rumors that a community leader using his influence persuaded the agitating families to call off strike while securing some personnel gains from the government. Source told that a leader of the community had come to terms with the government with later assuring to award him with a piece of land in return of persuading the families to withdraw the strike. They alleged that the leader leading the protest by aggrieved families have been assured a piece of land by a cabinet minister for his own business establishment which he is presently running in a rented accommodation. Meanwhile another KP group Kashmiri Hindu Youth forum led by Ajay Bharati has claimed that the decision of calling off strike has come following his persuasion of the either side by him. |
