| Qazi seeks people’s support in safeguarding forests | | | Early Times Reporter

Deputation from various areas of the Jammu Division included Poonch and Rajouri called on Minister for Forests and Environment Qazi Mohammad Afzal here today and put forth various demands including extraction of Khair trees.
The Minister heard them patiently and assured them that a meeting would be convened with the high forest authorities in this regard soon after the budget session is over and appropriate measures would be taken to fulfill the genuine demand.
Qazi Afzal urged the deputation to supplement the efforts of government in safeguarding forests which he said are important for sustained development and preservation of ecology and environment of the state. |
