| Wrestling needs special attention: Choudhary | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 13 Veteran wrestler and newly elected chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Indian Style Wrestling Association, Prem Choudhary has called for special attention on part of the government to promote the indigenous game in the state. An NIS qualified wrestling coach, Choudhary has been included into the Association through a special provision of making amendment in constitution of the association as chairman. Speaking to Sports & Allied News, Choudhary said that he could not make it to the coaching profession due to certain reasons but still helps the wrestler to groom by imparting tips at Dewan Mandir akhara of the city. “The indigenous game of wrestling needs a fair deal from the government because the rural game has tremendous talent to be guided and groomed by technical people into professional wrestlers,” said the veteran wrestler. |
