| Fresh privilege motion moved against Jaswant | | | NEW DELHI: A fresh privilege motion was on Thursday moved in the Rajya Sabha against Leader of the Opposition Jaswant Singh for misleading the House on the mole-in-the-PMO issue.
The privilege motion was moved by senior Congress member Santosh Bagrodia, who contended that Singh has misled the House by not substantiating his allegations.
Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat said the matter was being referred to the Privilege Committee of the House.
Shekhawat had on Wednesday rejected another senior Congress member V Narayanasamy's privilege notice against Singh on the same issue.
The notice mentioned that Singh had quoted a letter, which was claimed to be correspondence between Harry Barnes, former US Ambassador to India, and US Senator Thomas W Graham.
But Barnes had reportedly denied having anything to do with that correspondence.
