| Governor visits 'know your army' exhibition | | | Early Times Reporter

Governor Lt. General (Retd) S K Sinha today visited the Army Cantonment here and went round an exhibition depicting the military strength of India, put on display as part of the Army Day.
The Governor took keen interest in the weaponry and special equipment including tanks and artillery guns and was giving briefing by officers and JCOs. He kept enquiring about various weapons and gadgets, which formed addition to what had been put on display last year. He appreciated the exhibition and hoped that this will give an insight to the people about their Army.
The exhibition has become a very popular annual event as the people in large numbers have been thronging to witness it. Youngsters are showing a special interest in it.
General Sinha was received by Maj General Sanjeev Loomba, GOC Tiger Division and senior officers of the Army. He went round all the stalls and also witnessed free fall jump from paratroopers and Malkhamb, a demonstration by wrestlers. |
