A 50, 185 tourists visited Leh from January 1st 2007 to ending December, 2007. This is the highest record of tourists ever visited Leh since Ladakh was open to tourists.
The Deputy Director Tourism Urgan Lundup while giving the detail said that 28,117 foreign tourists visited Leh while the number of domestic tourists was 22, 2007, during this year. Lundup further said that during the year 2006 43,821 tourists visited Leh in which the number of foreign tourists was 26,114 and number of domestic tourists was 17,701. |
