| CM expresses shock over Sadiq’s demise, visits bereaved family | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 14 Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of senior Congress leader, Rafiq Sadiq, who passed away here early this morning. The Chief Minister paid rich tributes to the departed leader and said that he was a gentleman politician and social activist who was also engaged in the promotion of sports activities in the State. The Chief Minister also visited the residence of late Rafiq Sadiq at Gandhinagar to express his condolences to the bereaved family. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and courage for the bereaved family to overcome this loss. A large number of political leaders, public men and senior officers including Ministers, Mangat Ram Sharma, Abdul Aziz Zargar, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Tariq Hameed Karra and G. M. Saroori, Chairman, Handicrafts Corporation, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, legislators, Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Abdul Majid Wani and Mohammad Khalil Naik, Chief Secretary, B. R. Kundal and Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda visited the Gandhinagar residence of late Rafiq Sadiq to offer their condolences to the bereaved family. |
