Rafiq Sadiqs death widely mourned

Governor Lt. General (Retd) S. K. Sinha has expressed grief over the passing away of Mr Rafeeq Sadiq.General Sinha conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.
Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of senior Congress leader, Rafiq Sadiq, who passed away here early this morning.
The Chief Minister paid rich tributes to the departed leader and said that he was a gentleman politician and social activist who was also engaged in the promotion of sports activities in the State.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Muzaffar Hussain Baig has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of senior Congress leader, Rafiq Sadiq, who passed away here early this morning.
Remembering the contribution of Sadiq’s family to the socio-political setup of the state, Baig said that Rafiq Sadiq had made a distinction as a socio-political activist and remained active for more than four decades contributing his mite for the transformation of the political and socio-secular system.
He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and expressed hope that the bereaved family will overcome the irreparable loss.
Rafiq Sadiq Senior Congress leader ands son of former chief minister GM Sadiq passed away in wee hours today due cardiac rest. He was 60 and survived by his wife , a son and a daughter.
Several ministers , legislators and other political leaders have condoled the death of Rafiq Sadiq . These included Minister for Health and Medical Education, Minister for Social Welfare, Minister for Higher Education, Minister for Rural Development, Minister for R&B, Minister for School Education, Minister for Technical Education & Youth Services and Sports, Minister of State for Power, Minister of State for Finance & Planning, Minister of State for Rural Development, Minister of State for Forest and CAPD .
In separate messages the Ministers have expressed grief and sorrow over the death of senior Congress leader whose demise they described as a great loss for the people in general and Congress party in particular.
They also prayed for peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Earlier a large number of political leaders, public men and senior officers including Ministers, Mangat Ram Sharma, Abdul Aziz Zargar, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Tariq Hameed Karra and G. M. Saroori, Chairman, Handicrafts Corporation, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, legislators, Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Abdul Majid Wani and Mohammad Khalil Naik, Chief Secretary, B. R. Kundal and Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda visited the Gandhinagar residence of late Rafiq Sadiq to offer their condolences to the bereaved family.
